Infused water is a game changer for me. Lemon slices, mint, cucumber, watermelon, strawberry, any watery fruit works. Feels fancy too.

Dark urine is such a common challenge with bed-ridden folks - reduced activity also dulls the thirst response, so they genuinely don't feel thirsty even when dehydrated. The infused water idea is great for making fluids more appealing. Offering small sips on a regular schedule - every hour or so - rather than larger amounts at once also tends to work better, as it feels less overwhelming and adds up through the day.
