Vaccination is a key component of primary health care that can offer prevention, protection, and control from infection or disease. At Ninkatec, vaccinations to common and important diseases are easily available and include:

• Flu vaccine: Immunisation given to protect against seasonal influenza.
• Pneumococcal vaccine (PCV13 & PPSV23): Immunisation given to the type of illness caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria.
• Chickenpox vaccine (Varicella): Immunisation given to prevent chickenpox, an infectious disease caused by the herpes zoster virus.
• Shingles vaccine (Shingrix): Immunization given to prevent shingles, a painful acute inflammation of the nerve ganglia.
• Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine: Prevent infection by certain types of HPV that pose the greatest risk of cervical cancer.
• Hepatitis A/B vaccine: Immunisation given to prevent the onset of Hepatitis A/B.
• Tetanus vaccine: Also known as tetanus toxoid (TT), immunisation is given to prevent tetanus, an infection that can cause painful muscle contractions.
• Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis vaccine (Tdap): it helps to prevent diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. Diphtheria and pertussis are highly infectious diseases that cause breathing problems or persistent coughs. Tetanus is spread via an open skin cut or wound.
